About

I started my career in music as a manager for the Portland, OR bands Stars of Track and Field and The Upsidedown. In 2006 I left management and went to work with Internet radio station Little Radio. There, I discovered my inner geek and my passion for new technology. I learned about Web 2.0 and realized that the music industry was never going to be the same. So I moved to Los Angeles to dive right into the change. It is an exciting time to work in this business and I’m grateful to have a platform to share my fancy ideas about what is happening. I’m not a fan of DRM, the RIAA or standing in the way of progress when it benefits the little guy. My intention is to help artists become empowered and, hopefully, discover a little of their inner geek as well.
I am currently a New Media and Interactive Consultant. I work with bands, venues, labels and really, anyone who wants or needs advice on what a blog or Web 2.0 can do for their business. I am also writing an E-Book to help artists navigate their careers Online.

Look at us, we are actually on the web, reading other people’s blogs besides Sweet Sequoia’s!!! I was catching up on your fab trip to SXSW–sounds like a blast! Love you! We should do a skype call soon so you can see the little angel in action.
Hi Kyra,
Sorry for leaving a comment, I couldn’t find an email link anywhere. I just wanted to thank you for linking the story about Johnathon Coulton. I was inspired so much that I’m taking the challenge myself. Here’s my site below if you’d like to check it out.
Thanx again,
